Manygoats named TWBN Hero

L-627 Boilermaker journey worker Danielle Manygoats loves her work in the field and speaks passionately about the trade in her work as a recruiter for her local lodge.

Danielle Manygoats, a journey worker out of Local 627 (Phoenix) is the latest Boilermaker sister to be awarded the Tradeswoman Hero honor by North America’s Building Trades Union. She was recognized as an August hero.

Manygoats began her career in the trades immediately after graduating high school and then earning her welding certificate. She joined the Boilermakers union after working a job with Local 101 (Denver), returning to her home state of Arizona to indenture with Local 627.

This past spring, when Local 627 earned a state grant to build Arizona’s trade worker pipeline, the local used the grant to hire Manygoats, who is Navajo, as a recruiter, focusing mainly on reaching young adults in Native American communities. READ
