Kansas City, Kan., April 11 – The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers joins the labor community in mourning the loss of General President Patrick D. Finley of the Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association, who passed away this past weekend.
President Finley was a stalwart union leader who served the OPCMIA in many roles during his long and distinguished career and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
IBB International President Newton B. Jones called Finley “a good friend and colleague with whom I had the privilege of serving on the AFL-CIO Executive Council and the Governing Board of Presidents of North America’s Building Trades Unions. Pat also was a strong supporter of the Bank of Labor and served on our Labor Advisory Board.
“The Boilermakers extend our deepest sympathies to Pat’s wife, Bobbie, and their two daughters, and to all of Pat’s family members and friends during this difficult time.
“We will remember Pat for his leadership, his courage and his unwavering dedication to the Labor Movement.”
