L-667 celebrates 44 years of Labor Day Parade union solidarity

L-667 proudly carries their Boilermaker banner on the parade route.

Local 667 (Winfield, West Virginia) Boilermakers continued their long-standing tradition of marching in the Paden City Labor Day Parade. The local has participated in the parade since 1980, making Labor Day 2024 their 44th event.

“It was a perfect day with beautiful blue skies,” said L-667 Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Bruce Forshee. “Members travel hours just to proudly march along with all the union tradesmen, craftsmen and journeymen and women of several union brotherhoods.”

Forshee says Paden City’s parade is one of the largest in the state and draws hundreds to watch. The 2024 parade saw 20 trade unions marching together, including insulators, engineers, food workers, pipe fitters, chemical workers and mine workers, among others.
