L-169 member thankful for disaster relief

RETIRED LOCAL 169 member Claude Phillips of Midland, Michigan, received a $1,000 disaster relief check in August from L-169 Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Bob Hutsell to help restore Phillip’s shop, which was flooded earlier this year. Phillips’ daughter, Cheryl Sopcak, wrote to Hutsell, stating: “It’s refreshing to know that organizations such as the Boilermakers are committed to upholding their values and extend ‘the code’ to their brothers and sisters long after they’ve ‘paid their dues’ so-to-speak.”
