AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka passes away

The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers is deeply saddened to learn and share that AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka has passed away. President Trumka was a good friend of the Boilermakers union and a tremendous ally to working men and women. All of us in the labor movement owe a great debt of gratitude for his relentless advocacy to improve the lives of working people through his passionate commitment to fight for fairness, decent wages and benefits, safety, dignity and equality in our workplaces. Our hearts and our thoughts are with President Richard Trumka’s family and AFL-CIO colleagues during this time of grief.
