NABTU blasts right-wing smear of Davis-Bacon

Sean McGarvey, NABTU President

WHEN CONSERVATIVE COLUMNIST George Will called Davis-Bacon (the prevailing wage act) “racist” and claimed it would result in billions of dollars in needless spending for Trump’s promised infrastructure plan, NABTU’s Sean McGarvey quickly fired back.

McGarvey, President of North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU), of which Boilermakers are part, blasted Will’s outrageous article as “fake news” and an intentional distortion of the law’s history.

George Will no doubt will be getting an earful from other union leaders as well as reporters and editors who understand the truth about Davis-Bacon and the value it brings not only to workers but to communities across the United States.
