June 15 is deadline for Industrial Sector conference

Event will be held July 21-23 in Kansas City

LOCAL LODGES PLANNING to send representatives to the Industrial Sector conference July 21-23 in Kansas City, Mo., must get their registration forms in to the International by Monday, June 15. All local lodges in the Industrial Sector are expected to send at least one representative unless it is financially impractical to do so.

A conference registration packet was mailed to all Industrial Sector local lodges in mid-February.

The Industrial Sector consists of all industries other than construction. It includes:

  • Shipbuilding & Marine
  • Railroad
  • Industrial Boiler and Forge
  • Cement, Lime, Gypsum, and Allied Workers
  • Stove, Furnace, Energy, & Allied Workers
  • Paramedics and Emergency Medical Professionals
  • All other industries not part of the Construction Division

The conference will be held at the Kansas City Airport Hilton. The first day of the event will be a plenary session involving all lodges from all industries within the Industrial Sector. The second and third days will include break-out sessions for specific industries and, in some cases, for specific officers of the lodge. A workshop for trustees will include instructions on how to conduct an audit, complete with a practice, mock audit.

A full agenda will be provided to registrants and local lodges at a later date. Those attending should plan to arrive July 20 and depart July 24.

Local lodges are responsible for all transportation, hotel, and per-diem expenses incurred by their representatives at the conference.

All meetings will be held at the Kansas City Airport Hilton.
