CCUS: Carbon Capture, Use and Storage

Carbon capture, use and storage is the critical solution to mitigate climate change. The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers advocates for CCUS as the bridge to a cleaner energy future and a way to provide reliable energy production through a realistic mix of renewables and natural resources, such as fossil fuels. All while allowing for workforce and economic growth.

The science and statistics are clear: Renewable energy and conservation alone cannot save our planet--not to mention our way of life or our economy. The urgency for all solutions is now. We can no longer ignore the devastation that lies ahead if we do not embrace every option to stop climate change. And if mitigating climate change truly is a priority--if the future of our planet is a priority--CCUS must be fully explored and scaled as a viable option.
