White House seeks interns

Deadline to apply is Sept. 11

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS who wish to be considered for a spring 2012 internship at the White House have until Sept. 11, 2011, to submit an application. The spring internship runs Jan. 17, 2012 - May 4, 2012.

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • United States citizen
  • At least 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university OR have graduated in the past two years from an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university

    OR

  • A veteran of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and has served on active duty at any time over the past two years.

In addition, applicants must submit two essays, three letters of recommendation, and a resume. For additional information, visit www.whitehouse.gov/about/internships.
