Kevin Stewart

Great Lakes Area Recruiter/Organizer

Kevin Stewart has vast experience in training and recruiting the next generation of skilled tradespeople. A member of Local 363, he began his Boilermaker career in 1999 and completed his apprenticeship in 2004. Before joining the trade, he attended welding school at Lincoln Electric in Cleveland, Ohio, and studied metallurgy at Southern Illinois College. He has since earned his Certified Welding Inspector certification.

Throughout his career, Stewart has gained extensive field experience, working as an apprentice, journeyman, general foreman, and superintendent. In 2010, he transitioned into education, becoming an apprentice instructor and eventually the training coordinator for Local 363, where he played a key role in developing skilled Boilermakers.

Now serving as a recruiter and organizer for the Great Lakes Area, Stewart focuses on identifying and mentoring potential candidates from vocational schools, technical colleges and non-union facilities. He actively promotes the trade through career fairs, expos, presentations and hands-on demonstrations, ensuring that more people learn about the opportunities within the Boilermakers.

Passionate about expanding awareness of the trade, Stewart is driven by the belief that Boilermakers are one of the unknown yet most essential trades. His goal is to change that perception by connecting more individuals to the benefits and opportunities of union membership, strengthening the workforce for future generations.
