Edibray Rodriguez

Western States Organizer, M.O.R.E. Work Investment Fund

Edibray Rodriguez is an experienced professional with a background in industrial engineering and quality systems. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering with a focus on production and a master's degree in quality systems. He is certified as a Green Belt in Six Sigma and a master technician in statistical process control.

With seven years of management experience across various sectors in Mexico, Rodriguez transitioned into labor organizing after being fired for union activity at Taylor Farms in Tracy, California. Rodriguez is passionate about organizing. He spent nearly a decade with the Teamsters, serving as a lost-time organizer, project organizer, and international organizer. Currently, he’s a member of Local 92.

Rodriguez arrived in the U.S. in January 2013, seeking opportunities in engineering and quality control. Driven by a passion for defending workers’ rights, especially within the Latino community, Rodriguez committed to learning English and becoming an advocate for fair wages and dignity in the workplace. His organizing journey began when Director of Organizing Manny Valenzuela invited them to help organize Taylor Farms workers—a moment that solidified his dedication to the labor movement.

Over the years, Rodriguez has helped countless workers improve conditions and secure better futures for their families. Despite a background in engineering and quality systems, he chose to organize because it gives his work purpose beyond a paycheck. Now, fully committed to the Boilermakers’ Organizing Department, Rodriguez embraces the challenge of building from the ground up and drawing on the lessons learned from some of the best organizers in the field.
