SCOUTS FROM TROOP 1028 in Platte City, Missouri, spent a few evenings this past winter at Local 83 (Kansas City, Missouri) learning about weld and cutting processes and tool identification, as well as watching demonstrations of welding and torch and plasma cutting. To cap off their week, the scouts worked with Boilermakers to make a popcorn popper for the troop’s next camping trip, and they earned a merit badge.
