EVELYN “EVIE” TURNEY, the 11-year-old daughter of IBB Headquarters secretary Erica Turney and her police officer husband, James, demonstrated her marksmanship during a hunter education clinic put on by the Fraternal Order of Police in Kansas City, Kan., this past September.
“Not only did she get her license, but she was the number one shooter out of all the females, youth and adult, and she came home with a trophy,” said her mom.
Evie’s shooting prowess is nothing new. She shot her first turkey at the age of 6, and her photo ran in the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance magazine.
“She loves everything outdoors, and she loves her camo,” Erica added.
