District 10 holds first leadership training conference

CEMENT DIVISION DISTRICT 10, which formed in 2016 to represent 11 cement locals in eastern Canada, hosted its first conference in Moncton, New Brunswick, September 23-26. The conference, organized and led by District 10 BM-ST Tony Andrade, was an opportunity for local lodge leaders to understand the responsibilities of their positions and develop working relationships within District 10.

Andrade and IR Kent Oliver kicked off two days of presentations and interactive participation, including time to answer lodge leader questions.

District 10 steward training prepares leaders

D10 Steward Training, Toronto, Ontario

DISTRICT D10, FORMED in 2016 to represent 11 cement locals in Eastern Canada, held its first steward training session last year, with Ontario lodges meeting at Local 128 in Toronto and Nova Scotia and New Brunswick lodges meeting at the Hampton Inn in Moncton, New Brunswick. IR Richard MacIntosh conducted level 1 and level 2 steward classes at both locations. D10 BM-ST Tony Andrade also participated in the training.

Effective April 23, 2008 to March 31, 2011, for four members of Local 13, Philadelphia, who perform shop and field work in the oil and gas division of Integra Services Technologies Inc.

L-M18 — Buffalo, N.Y.

Effective June 1, 2008 to May 31, 2011, for 24 members of Local M18, Buffalo, N.Y., who make metal plating at the Keystone Corp.
