The SIIC Executive Board meets the second Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at the SIIC business office.
Services to Local Lodges
The SIIC sponsors leadership training programs for industrial/shop local lodge officers, stewards, and negotiating committees in Southern Illinois; has engaged in and provided support for several successful organizing campaigns; provides affiliated local lodges with monthly steward newsletter updates; supports a business office where local lodge committees and executive boards hold meetings, contract negotiations, and training. The SIIC's business office also has an extensive labor library for researching grievances, safety issues, and preparing for contract negotiations. The SIIC also provides support to the affiliated local lodges' secretary-treasurers with their financial recordkeeping responsibility and storage for archived local lodge records.
